During the summer we have our single unified service, Together in Worship at 10:00 AM. This gives the entire church a chance to bond and enjoy each other’s company while worshiping in a more relaxed unique service. Starting September 9th we are back to two services for the fall. Our Traditional Service at 11:00 a.m. is a celebration of Christ with a classical form of liturgical worship. In our soaring sanctuary with its magnificent stained glass windows, the presence of God is felt as God’s people gather for worship.
The service is known for its tradition of the finest music, including favorite hymns and classical anthems. Accompanied by our renovated Southfield pipe organ and Steinway grand piano, the chancel choir leads the congregation in uplifting worship. Most Sundays feature special music by instrumental ensembles or soloists.
The service is more formal than our 9:30 a.m. contemporary service. The ministers lead the service and offer thought-provoking messages. Members of the congregation lead in scripture readings and prayers. The service offers people a time to reflect, enjoy the beauty and experience the presence of God in their lives.
Early in the service, children (up to the fourth grade) are dismissed to attend Hero Headquarters – a fun and energetic teaching time designed just for kids and led by the children’s ministry team. Nursery and toddler care are provided for all services.
