“Sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done wonderful things.”
(Psalm 98:1)
Our music ministry offers opportunities for everyone to make a joyful noise and includes our Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, and Children’s Choir, and Contemporary Worship Praise Team. Our music ministry is under the leadership of our Director of Traditional Music and Organist Don Verkuijlen. Laura Leanza Preston conducts the Children’s Choir.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is open to all interested adults and teens. This talented group of volunteer singers, professional soloists and section leaders present a wide variety of choral music to help lead our traditional worship service. They are lead by Don Verkuijlen. In addition to their regular weekly musical offerings, the choir offers several major choral works with orchestra each year. Past offerings have included Brahms’ Requiem, Handel’s oratorio Esther and The Passion of Christ, Saint Saen’s Christmas Oratorio and Vivaldi’s Gloria. Check the calendar for rehearsal times.
Praise Team
The Praise Team is open to all interested adults and teens. This talented group of volunteer singers lead by Director of Contemporary Music, Brian Kozak, sings during our Contemporary worship service at 9:00 AM on Sundays. Check the calendar for rehearsal times.
Children’s Choir
The Children’s Choir is open to all interested elementary age children (Kindergarten-5th Grade). Check the calendar for rehearsal times.
Handbell Choir
Our Handbell Choir adds a festive peal to the musical life of our congregation. Open to all interested adults and youth, the choir rings regularly in our worship services. Members gain technique and skill playing our three octaves of bells in the English handbell choir tradition. Check the calendar for rehearsal times.
