The Bible encourages Christians to “study to show yourselves approved.” Just because you happen to be an adult does not mean you cannot continue to learn. Discipleship is a lifelong process – and these class offerings will help you grow in your faith and understanding of God’s word and plan for your life.

Not A Fan: Becoming A Completely Committed Follower of Jesus
by Kyle Idleman
Facilitated by Tammy Gordon and Kim Kidd-Collins
Starting Sunday, February 13 at 12:00 p.m. via Zoom

This 6-week study will draw you into the question “Are you a follower or a fan of Jesus Christ?” The class will begin each week with a 30-minute video segment of a story following a family in crisis interspersed with the Biblical principles being highlighted by the drama’s real-world situation. Included in the class is a 40-day devotional book for private study and reflection as we challenge ourselves with the question “Am I just a fan, or am I a follower?”.

When God’s Spirit Moves by Pastor Jim Cymbala
Facilitated by Marty Capers
Starting at noon via Zoom

According to Scripture, the Holy Spirit is our advocate, counselor, and comforter. God’s Spirit dwells within us, seals us to the day of redemption, assists us in prayer, and baptizes us into the Body of Christ. Yet, believers often neglect the study of the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity.
Pastor Cymbala believes that in this study you will learn:

  • How to make room for the action of the Spirit in your life and in your church
  • How God wants to work through your gifts to empower you to help accomplish His plan
  • How to discern the voice of the Spirit in prayer and how to apply God’s Word to your life
  • How the Spirit can bring healing to your body, your emotions, and your relationships
  • How lives lived in the presence of the Spirit can transform the church
  • How your church can become a place where people expect to experience God’s presence and His power

You are invited to this life-changing study of God’s Spirit. It will leave you with a joyful awareness of God’s nurturing and protective power in your life.
