During the summer we have our single unified service, Together in Worship at 10:00 AM. This gives the entire church a chance to bond and enjoy each other’s company while worshiping in a more relaxed unique service. Starting September 9th we are back to two services for the fall. Our Contemporary Service at 9:30 a.m. offers an informal, family-friendly style of worship. The service is less formal and more intimate than our 11:00 a.m. Traditional Service. Casual dress is encouraged, and coffee is welcome in the service.
The service features contemporary praise songs led by a worship band, including acoustic or electric guitars, drums, bass, piano, and saxophone. A praise team leads the singing, and lyrics are projected onscreen, freeing people to clap or lift their hands as they worship.
As part of the service, people have an opportunity to share their joys and concerns, and how they see God at work in their lives. Special needs are prayed for, reminding everyone of God’s promise that “…where two or three are gathered together, I will be there also…” The pastors share a thought-provoking and inspirational message for the week.
After a time of singing, children (up through the fourth grade) are dismissed to attend Hero Headquarters – a fun and energetic teaching time designed just for kids and led by the children’s ministry team. Nursery and toddler care are provided for all services.
