Family Game Night
Did you miss our game night for all ages? The adults had as much or more fun than the kids. There was a killer game of Monopoly and Pastor Jeff is now a hotel mogul and will probably sporting a new Rolls Royce complete with chauffeur soon.
Family Creation Night Was A Hit!
Creation is the theme for our upcoming Hero Headquarters so we decided we would use that as or Family Night theme. Our night of creating with Minecraft, Legos, and crafts was great. This Free family night was well attended by several families including kids, parents, aunts, uncles and even grandparents. A lot of the kids headed straight for the lineup of Xboxes that Carly was able to finagle from work at the Microsoft Store. She had her friend and coworker Natalie Esther there for tech support and moral support. Thanks to Natalie and Microsoft! Carly pulled out all the stops on the snacks with healthy fruit and veggies and not so healthy (but delicious) pizza, chips, and cookies.
Besides the lineup of Xboxes, there were Legos to creations to build and plastic crafts to create. It made a nice diversion when attention spans waned and kids needed a break from mining. Later in the evening we even toured downtown Cleveland Minecraft style through the Rock Hall of Fame, Browns/Cavs/Indians stadiums, Terminal Tower and more all built by Adam and Frank (not in one night). We can’t wait for the next big event!

This year we are doing everything a little differently in order to keep everyone safe. Typically each year members of the church community from each Cluster would gather together in our Spahr center to give you information about their Cluster and why you would want to join them. What is a “Cluster”, you ask? A Cluster is a small group of church members that get together on a regular basis to discuss their focus and how to best implement it. Clusters are groups of volunteers that get things done and make FBC the thriving church that it is. This year each Cluster gave us their information to include in this Virtual Cluster Fair. Browse through the Clusters, find out what they have to say, and drop them an email if you have any questions or you are ready to help them make their vision a reality!

The kids wanted to play Minecraft so we will play Minecraft, we will build with Legos, and have snacks. The kids can come dressed as their favorite Lego or Minecraft character and we’ll have a photo booth! We will also have a short family devotional/message and a game. Minecraft ties in well with our theme for March which is MADE “Discover Who You’re Meant To Be” where we will find out…
“How you made me is amazing and wonderful. I praise you for that. What you have done is wonderful. I know that very well.”

This summer we will be planning a mission trip back to Nicaragua. The country has been fairly stable and 15 or more teams from all over the USA have been back. Much work is needed right at the AMOS center so many teams have stayed right there except for occasional trips to the outlying communities.
The price varies slightly according to flights but will be about $1700.00 per person including all meals, lodging and transportation. There are a few scholarships available. The team leader this year will be Jeremy Bull. He has been to Nicaragua many times as a qualified team member. He also has medical training. He has been a great asset to all our teams in the past.
You must have a valid passport good for at least 6 months after returning to the US. For questions please contact Nancy Wheaton, Fran Leanza or Annette Szalay.
