What Matters Most

Covid-19 Update

“Shared Trials without Shared Viruses” Matthew 26:36-42. This is Jesus and his disciples in the garden of Gethsemane. Jesus prays for the suffering to bypass him, but yields Himself to the will of the Father, while asking for his disciples to encourage him by praying together. We will have a live stream combined service at 10:00 AM on our YouTube Channel.
During Lent, suffering – especially the suffering of Jesus- is a central theme.  Here we are all suffering from the impact of the COVID-19 isolation, shut-downs, stock-declines, and/or possible sickness.
Christianity has a unique “theology of suffering” which is distinct from other world religions. We are called to support each other, take due care, but ultimately to trust God.
If you know of any of our members have any physical or spiritual needs during these difficult times please call the office and let us know, we are here to help.

Most of our church activities have been canceled until further notice.

If you would like to read the bulletin you can download the Bulletin now. Contributions can still be dropped off at the church office or mailed in or you can contribute online. If you know of someone who needs prayers you may submit Online Prayer Requests. If you miss a streamed sermon on Sunday morning you can view sermons online.  Text Prayer requests to Pastor Kregg 812-882-8555.

Christmas Nativity Pageant

Live Nativity Pageant

December 24th at 7:00 PM

One of First Baptist Church’s most beloved annual traditions, our living nativity brings to life the Christmas story into our sanctuary with a large host of live animals, choirs, soloists, musicians, and the newborn baby Jesus. The church fills up as we celebrate with traditional hymns and new selections of music, as we participate together in the celebration of the birth of Jesus.
