Student Ministries
(Grades 7 - 12)

SUNDAY NIGHT LIVE
Sundays 5:30 - 7:30 pm

Sunday Night Live is FBC's weekly youth group meeting for students in grades 7-12, and meet on Sunday nights from 5:30-7:30 pm.

This year's theme is "Follow me to a safe place to be, learn, and serve." Students will encourage other youth to come to FBC and discover a safe place to be, learn, and serve. 2008 will demonstrate through our YOUTH just how to follow Jesus' Lead and make a huge impact on their generation for Jesus. Our lessons will include various types of media, games, and small group discussions. We will also continue monthly "contemplative" meetings devoted to reflection, prayer, and worship and also plan special events and service projects.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday from 10:05 am - 11 am

Students will begin learning how to apply scriptures to their daily lives, understanding Christ Jesus. They will explore variuos topics, characters, and stories fro the Bible and include lessons such as "Who is Christ Jesus?", "Where is Christ Jesus?" the program will include various activities, games, and group discussions..

PRIMETIME WEDNESDAY
Wednesday from 6:45 pm - 8 pm

Wednesday nights from 6:45-8 pm, students will engage in a small group Bible study focused on deepening their faith and understand of God, using the question "Does God still answer prayer?"

Early Teen Ministries
(Grades 5 - 6)

At FBC, we recognize that early teens or “tweenagers” often feel too old to enjoy the content of Children’s Ministries, but they are not yet ready to assimilate well with the older Student Ministries programs. Therefore, we have developed Sunday School and Wednesday night programming specifically focused on the needs and spiritual development of early teens. Early Teen Ministries is generally geared toward students in grades 5-6, but rather than enforce specific grade-level segregation, we encourage children between the ages of 9-12 to be a part of the program that best meets their needs.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday from 10:05 am - 11 am

Early Teens are encouraged to remain in worship services with their parents and attend our Grapple Pre Teen Sunday school class from 10:05-11 am between services. Grapple is a Sunday school curriculum put on by Group Publishing. This series of lessons will allow preteens to explore questions that they care about, from "What if Jesus is a liar?", "Can being a Christian ever be fun?" Pre Teen will get in-depth Bible background to answer their toughest questions and grow in faith. They will have their own Sunday School website and be able to e-mail prayer requests and make decisions regarding class time games and lessons.

PRIMETIME WEDNESDAY
Wednesday from 6:45 pm - 8 pm

Early teens are invited to the Carey Room (Youth Invasion Center) from 6:45-8 pm for computer training, fun, games, relationship-building activities, simple service projects, and short lessons to help them put faith into practice in their lives. This time is designed to be more laid-back and casual - a fun break during a busy week. It's also a great opportunity for early teens to bring their friends to church in a non-threatening atmosphere.
