Author Brian McLaren Coming to First Baptist in May

1-Day Conference to Focus on Issues of Emerging Christianity

Brian McLaren, author of "A Generous Orthodoxy" will come to FBC for a one-day conference on May 26, 2010.  Designed for both church leaders and laypersons, this day of teaching, interaction and dialogue will offer a fresh perspective on what it means to live in the way of Jesus.

McLaren has been giving voice to the thoughts of people who have become disenchanted with the church and American Christianity.  He speaks about a “new kind of Christian” who is more inclusive, less judgemental and more focused on the gospel Jesus proclaimed.
