Discipleship Hour Classes

The Bible encourages us to "study to show yourselves approved." Just because you happen to be an adult does not mean you cannot continue to learn. In fact, First Baptist Church of Greater Cleveland offers various Discipleship Hour Classes for our lifelong learners.

Sermon Talk Back with Rev. Martin Rolfs Massaglia, Senior Pastor

Do you want to dive deeper into the sermon each week? If you have ever wanted to ask more questions about the sermon texts, sermon topic, or just want clarification, this is the class you will want to attend. The senior pastor facilitates the discussion of the previous week's sermon in a fun, relaxed, and contemporary environment. The class meets upstairs in the Judson. Room (F202).

Leviticus Manuscript Study led by Rev. Stephanie Allen

Some of the books of the Bible can be a bit daunting of an undertaking to read and to make the contextual leap to our modern world. This class helps facilitate not only a biblical understanding of Leviticus, but a contemporary understanding of the book as well. Come learn a little bit of Hebrew and see how the Israelites lived, worshipped and followed God. This class meets downstairs in Montgomery (S112).

Nooma Video Series led by Jane Pernicone

We live in a world that seems to never stop moving and yet we need to take time to study and grow closer to God. Sometimes we need a culturally applicable and contemporary look at material.

The Nooma series videos by Pastor Rob Bell is just the way to grow close to God and still feel connected to the world around us. This video series offers culturally relevant themes and life application so that no one watching will feel out of touch with God. This class meets downstairs in Livingstone Room S115).
