Parish Nurse/Health Ministry
The Parish Nurse uses the nursing process to address the spiritual, physical, mental and social health of the congregation under their care. This may be accomplished by using interventions such as education, couseling, advocacy, referral and utilizing resources available to the faith community.Information on Grief and Loss:Coming soon to the FBC library will be a section of materials on Grief and Loss. This will include a collection of books, DVDs, Care Notes, articles and Internet accessible resources that are intended to meet the needs of children, families and individuals. There will also be a cataloged list available to assist in choosing the materials that will best suit your needs.

Stephen Ministers are members of our congregation who have received a minimum of 50 hours of training in Christian care giving. Stephen Ministers are trained to listen, care, encourage, pray and walk alongside you during difficult times. It’s confidential and free to members and nonmembers. FBC has a visitation ministry which works with a team of volunteers who visit, send cards, take communion, and call on our homebound members, the elderly, and those who are hospitalized.
